Hazel Long, 1, was among more than a dozen children participating in the Sundre Municipal Library’s Sundre Forest Products Summer Reading Club’s wind-up event, which was held Wednesday, Aug. 28.

Although the program is generally for kids between the ages of 4 and 12, the final event of the season extends an open invitation to families with children of all ages. Hazel’s older sister, Annalea, 9, had attended throughout the summer, and both came out with their mom Britney McMorris for the wind-up celebration.

This year’s summer student who coordinated the program, Jessica Messervey, who is this semester starting her first year studying psychology at the University of Lethbridge, occasionally got a hand from her little sister Abbie Messervey, who volunteered to help with the wind-up party.
