SUNDRE - Council agreed to re-hire the municipality’s contracted janitorial service provider for a three-year term ending May 31, 2024 — with an option to renew for an additional year — for an annual operating cost of $59,530 plus GST, or almost $180,000 over the three years.
Presenting background information, Linda Nelson, chief administrative officer, told council recently that four bids were received from four companies, including Angela’s Janitorial Services Ltd., which held the last contract.
The company quoted the same contract price, which came in lower than all of the other bids, said Nelson.
“We have had no complaints about the cleaning services they provide,” she said. “In fact, they went over and above during many episodes over the COVID year."
A motion to approve awarding the contract to Angela’s Janitorial Services carried unopposed.
