SUNDRE — A Sundre-area couple’s collection of medals accumulated through numerous dart competitions across the country recently became that much bigger.

Dave Formstone and partner Betty Ann Fountain, the municipality’s senior development officer, were among the players participating at the 55 Plus 2022 Canada Games hosted Aug. 23-26 in Kamloops, B.C.

Formstone won silver medals in both men's singles as well as mixed doubles, while Fountain also earned silver medals in both ladies’ doubles as well as mixed doubles.

“We had a lot of fun, met some great people and reconnected with long-time dart friends,” Fountain said, adding, “We are going to try out again for the next provincial winter games.”

The couple hopes to qualify for the 2024 Canada Games that will be hosted in Trois-Rivières, Quebec.
