Sundre High School Class of 2023 beams as students enjoy a moment under the proverbial spotlight

SUNDRE – The Class of 2023 went out on parade June 28 after the official cap and gown ceremony at Sundre High School and ahead of their big prom that evening.

The procession started off at the Sundre Seniors’ Supportive Living facility in the southwest before meandering its way through town along residential streets all the way into the northeast subdivision before winding up at the Sundre Rodeo Grounds in the northwest.

The parade offered the students an opportunity to show off their fancy attire as many residents brought out lawn chairs to watch, wave and cheer from their yards and driveways.

The procession featured plenty of pickup trucks, jeeps and cars, but there was also a tractor, a semi rig's cab as well as an off-highway vehicle decked out in pom-pom decorations, and the students seemed to beam the whole way as they enjoyed a moment under the proverbial spotlight.
