Sundre hosts high school rodeo

More than 100 cowboys and girls compete in 2023 Junior and Senior High School Rodeo

SUNDRE – Although the main gates at the Sundre Rodeo Grounds were closed to the public on Sept. 15-17, there nevertheless was plenty of action that weekend.

The Mountain View High School Rodeo Club was in town for the 2023 Junior and Senior High School Rodeo, with more than 100 cowboys and cowgirls competing in categories including pole bending, bareback riding, saddle bronc, tie-down roping, bull riding, breakaway roping, team roping and steer wrestling.

The event is sanctioned by the Alberta High School Rodeo Association and is made possible through the support of sponsors and volunteers.
