The Sundre RCMP are seeking the public's assistance in finding and apprehending individuals involved in a rural break and enter on Dec. 1 at a property located along Rge. Rd. 42 and Twp. Rd. 324. Several antique items were stolen from the property, including two saddles. One of the saddles is particularly unique ó it is an Ocean Front Saddling custom-made women's all-around saddle, dark brown in colour with "Ocean Front Saddling" stamped on the saddle. The saddle has leather under-skirting and twisted stirrup leathers, basket weave stamping on the skirt and fenders, and it is also stamped with the serial number "89." All information will be kept confidential. Crime Stoppers may pay a reward for information that leads to an arrest, recovery of stolen property, seizure of drugs, and the location of wanted persons.

Christmas Eve thieves busted

During the early morning of Dec. 24, police responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle at a rural residence along Rge. Rd. 44 and Twp. Rd. 340. The homeowner was away but had a friend tending to the property. The friend observed the car parked on the road, with footprints leading onto the property. Two persons were subsequently seen leaving the property before entering the vehicle and driving away. Police were able to intercept the vehicle, which was occupied by a male and female. The investigation revealed that the two persons were searching through outbuildings on the property. Sundre resident Tyler Campkin, 33, was criminally charged for break and enter, possessing break-and-enter instruments, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose as well as possession of methamphetamines. Amy Adams, 33, also from Sundre, was criminally charged for break and enter, possessing break-and-enter instruments and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose. Both of the accused are scheduled to appear in Didsbury provincial court on Tuesday, Jan. 24.

Booze thief caught on camera

Police were called to the Cowboy Trail Liquor Store on Dec. 29. The store's staff reported that a male entered the premises and stuck a bottle of booze into his waistband. The unidentified male then paid for a case of beer and exited the store. Anyone with information on this crime is asked to contact the Sundre RCMP detachment at 403-638-3675.
