Sundre rehearsals begin to bring whimsically magical nanny to the stage

All-ages cast composed of 31 actors selected following late September auditions for B.S. Productions’ latest endeavour on family musical adaptation of Mary Poppins

SUNDRE – A local adaptation of a classic magical musical is taking shape and on schedule for six performances coming early next year.

With the auditions for B.S. Productions’ latest endeavour to bring live family musical theatre to the stage all wrapped up, an enthusiastic all-ages cast composed of 31 actors aged nine to adult recently began rehearsals on a rendition of Mary Poppins.

The cast recently started becoming more familiarized with the script during an initial read- and sing-through and will now be regularly rehearsing with six shows lined up at the Sundre Arts Centre in February.

B.S. Productions is a not-for-profit organization that is dedicated to producing musical theatre in central Alberta under the lead of director Brian Bailey and his creative counterpart music director Jamie Syer.
