Sundre U11 Huskies engage in some intergenerational interaction

Minor hockey players visit residents at the Sundre Seniors’ Supportive Living centre and invite them to watch a game at the local arena

SUNDRE – Residents at the Sundre Seniors’ Supportive Living centre enjoyed a visit from the U11 Huskies who on Sunday, Feb. 9 dropped by donning their jerseys to chat for a while.

Courtesy of transportation from the Sundre Community Van, a contingent of residents even got to check out a game at the Sundre Arena and during the third period were treated to a meal from the concession that was covered by the team.

“It was a great successful day and the residents said they would love to come back, said Shannon Fankhauser, a volunteer organizer with the team.
