SUNDRE – In a bid to garner a greater turnout, the Sundre and District Chamber of Commerce is considering plans to host a small business event in the spring.

While there in the past have been awards celebrations held in conjunction with Small Business Week, which this year was observed Oct. 20-26, there was no function held this year, said Sarah Henn, the chamber of commerce's executive director.

“We are tossing the idea around for something in March or April,” Henn recently told the Albertan.

“We found over the last couple of years that we have not had the engagement with our business awards in October and felt changing the month may draw more interest.”
