Teen girl airlifted by STARS after ATV crash

STARS was dispatched to Sundre Hospital and Care Centre on Sunday morning to provide an airlift for a teen girl who sustained serious injuries following an ATV crash.

Emergency Medical Services officials reported a STARS call came in at about 10:15 a.m. on March 17.

An EMS team initially treated and took the teen to the local hospital, where they coordinated with the air ambulance to provide transportation to Calgary.

“STAR 3 was dispatched to the Sundre area yesterday at roughly 10:45 a.m. for a female patient in her early teens that was injured in an ATV incident. She was transported to Alberta Children’s Hospital in serious condition,” wrote Chad Saxon, STARS communication, in an email on Monday morning.
