Police are seeking the public’s help for information that could identify two suspects involved in multiple brazen, broad daylight thefts in the Burnstick Lake area.

Sometime between 11 a.m. and noon on Friday, Oct. 12, two thieves prowled the Burntstick Lake Resort northwest of Sundre in Clearwater County and proceeded to forcibly enter multiple trailers and sheds, the RCMP reported.

The suspects reportedly stole food, a variety of camping goods as well as a Honda 300 inverter generator and a 2014 camouflage Yamaha Viking side-by-side off-highway vehicle (OHV). The Alberta licence plate associated to the OHV is GXF39.

Surveillance cameras in the area captured images of one of the suspects, who can be described as a middle aged Caucasian male with a light brown moustache and tan complexion. The male was wearing a black ball cap, black Fox branded hoodie sweatshirt, dark jeans and skate style shoes. No description of the second suspect was available when the police issued a press release on the evening of Wednesday, Oct. 17.

Anyone with information on this crime or the identity of the suspects is encouraged to contact the Sundre RCMP detachment at 403-638-3675. Alternatively, tips can also be submitted anonymously by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8777 (TIPS).
