The Town of Sundre recently completed some touch-ups on the trial public parking lot just south of the Main Avenue and Centre Street intersection that was made possible through a partnership with the Sundre Hotel and Restaurant.
The work included grading the parcel as well as introducing some landscaping features. The municipality hopes the space will entice more visiting motorists, such as those with recreational vehicles, who would otherwise drive through on their way to the West Country, to stop in town and explore the core on foot.
The project will be trialled for a period of three years, along the way being reassessed for potential improvements.
