A funnel cloud hung over Harmattan during a violent and heavy hail and rainstorm that hammered the entire region Thursday afternoon. Although there were no reports of injuries, the storm did cause damage to vehicles, buildings and crops - and sent people running for cover across the district. A tornado touched down southwest of Bergen at about 4:40 p.m. and a second funnel cloud touched down between Harmattan and Olds at about 6:45 p.m. See story and more photos in this week's Mountain View Gazette.
