WESTLOCK – Northern Alberta Internet Child Exploitation Unit, of ALERT, and Westlock RCMP executed a search warrant in Westlock around 6 a.m. on Oct. 2 in an investigation regarding child pornography.
Police arrested 34-year-old Steven Hoevers of Westlock and charged him with distributing child pornography, possessing child pornography, and accessing child pornography.
Hoevers was brought before a Justice of the Peace and was released on a release order with conditions.
His matter was in Westlock Court of Justice on Oct. 2. The Crown is proceeding by indictment on the charge of distributing child pornography. Justice Gregory Rice adjourned the matter to Oct. 30.
