Calgary police are confirming that autopsies completed, Friday, Jan. 3, 2025, by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, have officially confirmed the identities of the victims as Stanislaw WARDZALA, 71, and his daughter, Anna (Ania) KAMINSKI, 33.
The suspect in the homicide was located deceased in the Water Valley area on Monday, Dec. 30, 2024.
There are no further investigative updates at this time.
At approximately 9:30 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 29, 2024, we responded to the 0 to 100 block of Kincora Grove N.W. for reports of a person in medical distress. Upon arrival, officers located a man in his 70s deceased.
As officers continued to investigate, a second victim, a woman in her 30s, was located deceased in the 300 block of Tuscany Ridge Heights N.W., at approximately 11:15 p.m. on Sunday Dec. 29, 2024.
A GoFundMe campaign has been set up to support for the children of Ania (Kaminski) Wardzala, who was murdered by her estranged husband on Dec. 29.
