DIDSBURY - The annual Mountain View Arts Festival was well attended on both Saturday and Sunday, with visitors coming from local communities and beyond.
Held at various facilities in Didsbury, including the Didsbury Museum, the historic train station, the Elks Hall, the Didsbury Municipal Library, the festival featured everything from artisans at work, face-painting, sidewalk chalk art, photograph displays, and lots of music.
Activities at the museum included two sittings for tea, both of which were sold out, and model train demonstrations. There were Metis dancers and music at the Elks Hall, and music at Blue Door Concert on 15th Avenue.
The Artists at Work event at the train station featured artisan creating art and crafts. Kids took advantage of the nice weather to draw sidewalk paintings.
Kathleen Windsor, committee member and Mountain View Arts Society secretary, said traffic at the museum was very heavy.
“We were packed,” said Windsor. “On Saturday we had about 150 people come through in four hours.”
The festival has been held every year, except 2022, since 2011.
