A home business open house with 10 vendors will be selling their wares this Saturday in the tea room at the Historical Village.
“We knew of other small towns doing it and we hadn’t heard of one here so we decided to try it this year,” said Megan O’Dwyer, one of the vendors.
The group, while selling products, will also be raising money for the local Christmas Bureau and collecting donations for the food bank.
“We’ll have a gift basket with donations from the different businesses and we’ll be selling raffle tickets,” she said, adding the proceeds will go to the bureau.
“This is the first time we’re doing it, so we’ll see how it goes.”
Vendors include Scentsy Wickless Candles, Usborne Books, Purple Own Boutique, Jessica Lute Photography, Passion Parties, Discovery Toys, Tupperware, Mary Kay and Latasia Fin Jewellery.
The event runs 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
