Town moving to paperless agendas
The Town of Innisfail is going to a paperless agenda system.
At its regular meeting on May 9 town council passed a motion to enter into a contract with iCompass Technologies to provide the town an electronic paperless agenda system and its electronic records management system at a cost of $19, 780. The cost includes setup, configuration and training.
Council was told $30,000 has been set aside from the 2011 contingency budget for the new systems. The cost includes the purchase of council laptops and additional technical support.
The town is in the process of overhauling the records management system and that moving to an electronic solution would be timely, council was told.
By the going with paperless agendas, council was told, the project would require each councillor to use a laptop and would allow the town to assign each member with their own town email address. Each laptop will cost $1,200.
Sewer camera purchase approved
Town council has approved the purchase of a sewer camera system.
At its regular meeting on May 9 town council approved a $33,975 purchase of a Main Line Camera System.
