Innisfail citizen Floyd Wacker sees life a little differently now since he has won $100,000 courtesy of a LOTTO 6/49 draw.
Wacker purchased the $11 quick pick winning ticket at the Innisfail Royal Canadian Legion on Feb. 14 with the added EXTRA option.
He returned several days later on a return visit to the Legion, and checked his tickets on the self-ticket checker. He was surprised and had to double check.
ìI didn't realize how many zeroes there were until I gave the ticket to the retailer,î Wacker recalled.
His quick pick numbers matched the last six digits of EXTRA to win the second highest prize of $100,000.
ìI was quite surprised,î said Wacker in a Lottery Foundation press release.
He plans to pay some bills and possibly share his winnings with family members, and maybe even fit in a trip to P.E.I.
ìThe win is going to make retirement a whole lot easier,î said Wacker.
