INNISFAIL – With spring just around the corner it’s time for Innisfail’s annual Spring Registration and Information Night.
The event will take place at Innisfail High School in the student gathering area on March 3 from 6 to 8 p.m.
“We got a lot going on in town. You don’t have to leave town to be active in whatever you choose,” said Janice Jones, marketing and administration coordinator with the Town of Innisfail.
“There’ll be organizations displaying their services and registrations…and some are just there primarily to give out information of what they have to offer,” she added. “It could be anything from a service club to a sports league.”
Every year for the past several years local organizations, community and non-profit groups, service clubs, and sports organizations come together for the spring and fall registration and information nights, noted Jones.
Visitors can expect to see the Innisfail Garden Club, the Cottonwood Kayak Club, Arashi-Do Martial Arts, Innisfail Family Day Home Society, Innisfail Minor Football Association and Innisfail Minor Lacrosse Association, the Innisfail Public Library, as well as representatives from the Town of Innisfail Recreation and Culture and FCSS programs.
Jones said it’s a great way for area residents and families to learn more about the groups, clubs and organizations in Innisfail and what the town has to offer.
“What we found with the local groups that are in Innisfail, the two more busy times of the year when they’re looking for people to register…is the spring moving into summer and the fall moving into winter,” explained Jones.
“It’s a one-stop shop for residents in the community,” she said. “It’s all free. It’s free for the vendors and it’s free for guests and families that are coming to check things out,” Jones concluded.
