INNISFAIL - He's back on familiar soil. Kelly Jacobson, the 42-year-old former vice-principal at St. Marguerite Bourgeoys Catholic School, has returned, but has now taken over the top job. It is his first time as principal.

INNISFAIL - There has been no significant criminal or bylaw-related incidents for local Mounties and community peace officers to pursue since last month's historic legalization of cannabis.

INNISFAIL - Local council members will soon lose the legal perk of having one-third of their salaries exempted from federal taxes.

PENHOLD – With legalized cannabis a fact in town and across the country concerned residents packed town council for a pubic hearing on the town’s cannabis amendments in the Land Use Bylaw.

INNISFAIL - The town has agreed to seriously consider a plan to partner with the community to invest in a new downtown community clock at Bankers Corner.

INNISFAIL - It was a perfect weekend to enjoy the outdoors on the farm. The Jungle Farm north of Innisfail held its annual Extreme Power Tool Pumpkin Carving event on Oct. 27 and 28.
