Mountain View County residents affected by May floods can now make application to the Southwestern Alberta Disaster Recovery Program for funding.Applications can be picked up and filled out at the Mountain View County administration office.The program was approved by the Alberta Government for residents and small business owners affected by the May 25-29 flooding in Southwestern Alberta, including the May 27-29 flooding within Mountain View County.MVC was one of 10 municipalities and First Nations that applied for disaster recovery programs on behalf of their residents.Residents who experienced uninsurable losses during the flooding can drop by the county office just off Hwy 2A and the Bergen Road (Twp. Rd. 320) to fill out an application.Applicants must obtain a letter from their insurance company to include in their application indicating that what they are claiming was uninsurable.
