Four adults, three men and a woman, charged last month with conspiracy to commit murder, are scheduled to be in Didsbury provincial court on Monday.

The accused are Joseph Jerry Aubut, 31, Jesse James Hoffman, 27, Austin Cody Jay Graham, 22, and Donna Marie Faulkner, 36.

They have all been remanded in custody pending the court appearance.

RCMP laid charges against the accused following two alleged assaults in Didsbury.

“On March 16 the intended victim was knocked unconscious outside a business (in Didsbury),” RCMP Cpl. Curtis Peters said in a release issued Tuesday, March 27.

“RCMP allege that there was a plot to kill the intended victim over a child custody dispute.”

A second individual was struck on the head with an object on a Didsbury street on March 14. That individual is not believed to be the intended victim of the conspiracy to murder.

“Evidence revealed both assaults had been committed by the same individuals,” he said.

Following the alleged assaults, police executed a search warrant at a Mountain View County residence on March 23.

Police said they found a firearm, stolen property and drugs at the residence during the raid.

Aubut faces 14 charges, including conspiracy to commit murder, aggravated assault, possession of stolen property, possession of a controlled substance, various weapons offences, and several fail to comply with conditions.

Faulker and Hoffman each face 11 charges, including conspiracy to commit murder, aggravated assault, possession of stolen property and various weapons offences.

Graham faces a charge of conspiracy to commit murder.
