Frost advisory in effect Friday for some Central Alberta locales

OLDS - Environment Canada issued a special weather statement Friday for two areas of the province warning of frost.

A frost advisory is in effect for the the Airdrie - Cochrane - Olds - Sundre area and the Rocky Mountain House - Caroline area.

"Frost may damage some crops in frost-prone areas. Cover up plants, especially those in frost-prone areas. Take preventative measures to protect frost-sensitive plants and trees," the advisory states.

Temperatures in the Sundre area are expected to hit 0C overnight and into the early morning of Saturday.
