Police busy with weapon charges

DIDSBURY - Local RCMP have recently been kept busy investigating and laying a number of charges, including for alleged weapons offences.

  • James Gordon Fleischer, a 58-year-old male from Mountain View County, was charged with 17 counts of unsafe storage of a firearm.
  • Andre Laliberte, a 35-year-old male from Calgary, was charged with possession of a controlled substance, two counts of unsafe storage of a firearm, four counts of possession of a prohibited weapon without a licence, and three counts of possession of weapon dangerous to the public peace.
  • Tasha Nicole Scott, a 25-year-old female from Lacombe, Alta., was charged with breaking and entering, mischief over $5,000 and breach of probation.
  • Matilda Cameron, a 46-year-old female from Calgary, was charged with impaired driving and driving while over 0.08, and also failing to stop at a scene of an accident.
  • Richard Douglas Sutcliffe, a 34-year-old male of no fixed address, was charged with resisting arrest and obstructing a peace officer. He was also charged with theft under $5,000.
