DIDSBURY - The 33rd annual Didsbury Art, Travel & Trade Expo attracted a big crowd on both Saturday and Sunday.

The trade show, which took place at the Didsbury Memorial Complex, featured everything from A Taste of Didsbury food court, splash and play at the pool, kids' fun zone sponsored by Mountain View Credit Union, Tanas talent show, A Brush with Art art show and sale, the Fiddler's Jamboree, a performance by the 2A Highway Connection community band, to of course, hundreds of different exhibitors.

The trade show was once again organized by the Didsbury & District Chamber of Commerce. Chamber secretary Deborah Johnson said the event well very well.

"It was another successful sold-out year for the 2018 Didsbury Art, Travel & Trade Expo," said Johnson. "Although the weather was not the best, that didn't hold the people back. Numbers were close to last year's with 2,800 people attending."

Booth prize winners went to: first place, Rural Alberta Ride for Dad; second place, For Trees; and third place, Jim Bob's Nursery and Garden Centre, which also won the people's choice award.

For the art show people's choice awards, the winners were: First place, Autumn Call by artist Gayle Kohut, Didsbury; second place, Spanish Boy by artist Brett Peterson, Olds; and third place, Ocean Spirit by artist Delree Dumont, Didsbury.
