Two local golfers came close, but just couldn't beat an Airdrie woman for the Mountain View Dodge Ladies Open golf championship at the Olds Golf Club this past Saturday (July 14).
Celina Lam of Airdrie won the tournament, shooting a score of 77.
Jocelyn McInnis finished just three strokes back, firing an 80. Cathy Spicer of Olds placed third with 81.
Club pro and manager Wade Bearchell says 84 women participated in the tournament this year.
The tournament was blessed with hot, sunny weather.
