DIDSBURY - The recent Didsbury Aquajets swim meet went very well, said organizers.
The meet took place at the Didsbury Aquatic Centre and featured more than 200 swimmers from seven teams including clubs from Calgary, High River, Okotoks, Canmore, Cochrane and the host Aquajets.
"The format of our meet this year was geared toward longer distance events," said manager Monika Rosenke. "We are proud of how our swimmers did this past weekend."
In total, there were 13 events, 225 swimmers and 856 swims in total, said Rosenke. The Aquajets had 35 swimmers compete and many set personal bests.
"Most of our swimmers received new personal best times at this meet, which is amazing as we were offering longer distance races," she said. "Because of the longer distances we had a lot of first times, which the swimmers will be able to use as they go forward into the swim season."
