CREMONA - The Cremona Skating Club recently celebrated 30 years in style by hosting one of its best carnivals yet called 30 Years of Skating Fun.
Club president Terri Belcourt said the event went very well and featured groups based on former carnival themes such as: Cirque de Cremona, Magic of the Movies, Romance on Ice and One Hit Wonders.
"This was huge for such a small, little club," said Belcourt. "We had three CanSkate groups (aged 3-8), one junior group (aged 8-10) and one senior group (aged 13-16) as well as a CanPower skating group aged 6-10. We also had some guest skaters come out for our carnival as well as past skaters from the last 30 years."
Skater Zian Kerfoot completed her gold skills, rocker foxtrot and harris tango over the past weekend, added Belcourt.
