Olds' Ryan Dodd captured a gold medal in the jump division at the Canadian Water Ski Championship with a score of 63.9 metres.
The championship was held at Calgary's Predator Bay Water Ski Club from August 10 to 14.
With the gold-medal win, Dodd is one large step closer to landing a spot at the International Waterski and Wakeboard Federation World Championships in Santiago, Chile, from Nov. 25 to Dec. 1 as well as the 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto.
Dodd's wife Breanne, who is from Surrey, B.C. took home a silver medal in the women's slalom category at the Canadian championship with a score of 2.5 markers at a rope's length of 11.25 metres.
This is the second year in a row where Dodd has captured gold at the Canadian championship in the jump division category.
