Fourth in prov. tourney

Olds golfer Wayne Ouellette, 56, says he and his son, Scott, 35, will likely play in the Alberta Men's Handicap Stableford Championship again next year, depending on where it's held.

After all they've had a pretty good couple of years participating in it.

Wayne finished tied for fourth out of 97 this year. Last year, Scott won it.

“I think we will. Depends where it's held. If it's somewhere up in northern Alberta I don't think we'll bother going. But if it's somewhere half decently close or whatever, we probably will. We had a good time,” he said.

Wayne has a seven handicap.

Wayne says overall, he's OK with how he did this year.

“It's fine,” he says. “I would have been a bit happier to win. I'm out there to win, not to place fourth.”

This year, the Alberta Men's Handicap Stableford Championship took place at the Glendale Golf and Country Club in Edmonton. Last year it was held in Drumheller.
