The 2019 Knights of Columbus Free Throw Championship is coming up.
It will take place March 9 at Holy Trinity Catholic School.
The event, in which youth age nine to 14 compete by throwing basketballs through a basketball hoop, begins with registration at 9 a.m.
The top finishers in each level progress to the next round of competition. Winners progress through local, district and provincial competitions.
Last year, the Olds event saw a record number of competitors finish at the highest levels.
International champions are announced by the Knights of Columbus international headquarters based on scores from the state/provincial-level competitions.
Last year, more than 120,000 kids participated in more than 3,600 local competitions.
