Smith scored three goals and three assists in three games in mid- to late-December to extend his point streak to six games.
Smith began the week with three assists in a 5-4 win over the Spruce Grove Saints.
On Dec. 17, he was named the Viterra AJHL Star of the Game with two goals in a rematch against the Saints.
Smith scored one of two Grizzly goals versus Bonnyville on Dec. 18 to end his week.
The Huxley, Alta. native leads the Grizzlys in scoring with 40 points (16 goals, 24 assists) and is 10th in the AJHL scoring race. Lately, the 19-year-old has been averaging 1.2 points per game.
The Grizzlys are now on a Christmas holiday break. They hit the ice again this Friday, Dec. 30 to host the Drumheller Dragons.
Okotoks Oilers goaltender Riley Morris has been selected as the Alberta Ford Dealers AJHL Defensive Player of the Week.
For a second consecutive week, Morris posted a 3-0 record and has now won five games in a row for the Oilers.
