It’s been a tough season for the Olds Grizzlys Junior A hockey team. As of Monday, their record was 0-14. They’re hoping to get that first win this weekend.

The Olds Grizzlys are hoping to turn their season around as they prepare to host the Canmore Eagles this Friday at the Sportsplex. The puck drops at 7:30 p.m.

Surely it can't get worse than their last game, Oct. 20 when they were thrashed 12-0 by the Brooks Bandits in Brooks.

Last week, it was announced that Garry VanHereweghe had resigned. He signed on in spring as the Grizzlys' general manager and associate coach. On its website, the team did not announce a replacement for VanHereweghe.

However, in an later email, Grizzlys president Darcy Dallas said the role of GM will be split between himself, head coach Joe Murphy and Keith Lightbown, who has served as the team's head scout. A new assistant coach, Pete DeGraff, has also been brought onboard.
