A coach with the École Olds High School cross country team is pleased with the team's performance this year.
Karla Pohl notes that Avary Hickman and Riley Chopko ran in the cross country provincials, held Oct. 19 in Medicine Hat, and during that five-kilometre event, Hickman beat her personal best, running in a time of 27:36.
"Overall, the team did well this year," Pohl says.
Previously, it was noted that 12 members of the Spartans cross country team qualified for zones.
