Four Innisfail athletes were competing in badminton zones over the weekend in Stettler. The Cyclones earned their spot after an Area 1 Badminton Championship in Sylvan Lake April 24 where they were up against seven different schools.
More than 320 games were played in the three age groups: under 16, under 17 and under 19.
Fifteen of the 26 Cyclones came away from the championship with hardware. Gold and silver winners advanced to zones over this past weekend. Provincials take place in Grimshaw May 4 and 5.

Girls doubles under 16: Jade Marshall and Nicole Anderson, bronze.
Girls singles under 16: Sydney Daines, silver.
Mixed doubles under 17: Kim Hannah and Cole Wallewein, silver.
Boys single under 17: Garett Motley and Jeff Norlin, bronze.
Boys doubles under 17: Erik Yff and Brody Holsworth, bronze.
Girls doubles under 17: Sam Carr and Brianna Layden, bronze.
Senior boys doubles under 19: Kreg Klymyk and Anthony Streit, silver.
Senior girls doubles under 19: Taryn Kramer and Chelsea Lessard, gold.
