CARSTAIRS - Track and field athletes from Hugh Sutherland School (HSS) in Carstairs had a field day on May 15 at the Chinook's Edge divisional senior high track meet held at Westglen School in Didsbury.
Leading the way for HSS was Aiden Good with four first place finishes. Good won gold in 200M, 400M, 800M and as part of the 4X400 team.
Winning double golds were Tanner Austin, who came first in the long jump and triple jump. Austin was also part of the 4X100M silver medal team. Sophie Porter was first in the 3000M and 1500M and was part of the 4X100M silver medal team.

Hailey Rosborough - 2nd Jav, 1st 4x400m
Trentin Rothermal - HIgh Jump 2nd, 1st 4x400m
Tareq Casely- 2nd 3000m, 4x100m 2nd
Dorien Freisen- 1st 4x400m
Dwight Martin - 1st 4 x400m
Izzy Katyi- 200m 2nd, 4x100 2nd
Brianna Thompson- 2 4x100m
Emily Stevenson- 1st 4x400m
Yasmin Lee- 1st 4x400m
Ben McGonigal- 4x100m 2nd
All the above athletes will be competing in the zone championships in Calgary on May 22.
Also competing at the divisional track meet were athletes from Didsbury High, Sundre High, Cremona School and Olds Koinonia.
