Mavericks frozen by the Chill

The Olds Mavericks were frozen 9-2 by the Calgary Chill June 9 in Calgary. During the first period, the Mavericks made several plays that could have resulted in a goal but unfortunately, they turned up short, with the Chill scoring the lone goal.

The Olds Mavericks were frozen 9-2 by the Calgary Chill June 9 in Calgary.

During the first period, the Mavericks made several plays that could have resulted in a goal but unfortunately, they turned up short, with the Chill scoring the lone goal.

Then less than a minute into the second period, the Mavericks' Damian Vickers tied up the game with assists from Caden Switzer and Marshall Bloomfield.

The rest of the second period featured six additional goals from the Chill.

Then in the third period, the Chill scored with 11 minutes left on the clock.

Shortly after that, the Mavericks earned their second goal of the game, thanks to Bloomfield, assisted by Matthew Gaudette and Zachary Whitehair.

The Mavericks' losing streak was extended to eight games the next day when they lost to the Rockyview Silvertips at home.

This loss wasn’t as substantial compared to their game against the Chill. The final score was 11-8.
