The midget tier 3 Huskies are ready for Game 2 of provincial playdowns this Friday.

Coach Brad Price said the team was the victim of bad officiating during Game 1 last Friday night in Hanna. The team lost 4-3.

"It was a tough game due to bad officiating. It was very one-sided. The fair play was taken out of the game," said Price.

One of the Huskies' goals was called off but the team "pushed through," he said.

The team is looking forward to Game 2 on home ice this Friday, Feb. 26 at 7 p.m.

"The more fans we have, the better they play so we want all the fans to come out," said Price.

In order to advance, the Huskies need to beat Hanna by two points.

They got a bye into provincials, having finished league play in second place.

In their last North Central Minor Hockey Association regular season game on Feb. 21, the midget Huskies beat Stettler 13-3.

The game saw many players notch up their points standings. Tanner Savage-Howe got 10 points that game; Caden Surbey, seven; Carson Bartholow, three; Dylan Price, three; Ryan Hanna, two; and Seth Wilde, Lucas Vancuren, Matt Woods, and Brandon Wall all earned one point.

Going into Sunday's game, the squad was in second place out of six teams following its last home game of the regular season, which was played on Friday, Feb. 12. The Huskies walloped Rimbey 11-4.

"It was a good game," said Price.

"We dominated Rimbey the whole game," he said, adding the Huskies performed really well.
