Mixed results for local lacrosse teams

Results for the three teams in the Mountain View Lacrosse Association were mixed over the past week or so. The Mavericks won both their games.

Results for the three teams in the Mountain View Lacrosse Association were mixed over the past week or so.

The Mavericks won both their games. On Saturday, May 11, they edged the Regina Fish 9-8 and Sunday, May 12, they pounded the Okotoks Marauders 14-8 to improve their record to 5-1-1. Their next home game is Sunday, May 26, 5 p.m. at the Sportsplex versus the St. Albert Crude.

The tier II Stingers went in the opposite direction, losing both of their games. On Friday, May 10 they were shut out 7-0 by the Rocky View Rage. On Saturday, May 11 the score was much closer. They were downed 14-11 by the Calgary Wranglers.

The Senior C Stingers were hammered 21-5 by the Airdrie Mohawks on Saturday, May 11.

Their next home game is Friday, May 24. From May 24-27, the Senior C Stingers will host all senior teams in a South-North crossover.
