OLDS — Olds Grizzlys forward Hunter Motley has been named a 2024-25 RBC Alberta Junior Hockey League community ambassador.

Players from each AJHL team are nominated for exemplary commitment to the community. Those chosen receive a $1,000 scholarship from RBC.

“The RBC AJHL Community Ambassadors are keen to give back through volunteerism and inspire their team members to contribute to the community in meaningful ways,” an AJHL news release says.

Grizzlys head coach Brad Tobin says Motley was involved in the community in many ways.

“He was very personable around the rink with the fans and volunteers,” Tobin said in a text. “He took the time to get to know as many as possible on a first-name basis.

“He was involved with the Grizzlys Academy, school visits and any other events that the team took part in.”
