Olds Grizzlys have a chance to get back in win column Tuesday

OLDS — It was a glass half full weekend for the Olds Grizzlys. 

The team won its fourth game of the season on Saturday Nov. 11 when they beat the visiting Drumheller Dragons 4-3.  

However, on Sunday, they were edged 3-2 by the Canucks in a shootout in Calgary.  

The Grizzlys have a chance to get back in the win column tonight (Tuesday, Nov. 14) when they face off against the Thunder in Drayton Valley. 

The latest results bring the Grizzlys’ record to four wins, 16 losses, two overtime losses and one shootout loss, six points behind the Fort McMurray Oil Barons. 

In Saturday’s game, Patrick Mitchell and Cade Moxham scored a goal and picked up an assist each. Other goals were scored by Ryder Many Grey Horses and Gaige Giblin.  

Drawing one assist each were Greye Rampton, Braxton Thornton and Devun Olfert. 

The Dragons were one for five on the powerplay; the Grizzlys two for nine. 

Aiden Comeau went the distance in net. 

In Sunday’s game, Grizzlys goals were scored by Giblin and Lucas Baxter.  

Drawing assists were Kyle Venneman, Moxham, Avery Trotter and Coden Fournier. 

Both teams were zero for four on the powerplay. 

Comeau backstopped the team for the whole game again.
