The Olds Koinonia Christian School Royals senior high track team won the 2018 South Central Zone 1A track team banner.
Ten senior team athletes went to zones and finished with 93 points, edging out Bassano's 86 points to win their second zone team banner in the past three years.
Four Royals athletes -- Bryce Parrott, Nick Verge, Jeremiah Houben, and Jocelyn Kornelsen -- also qualified for provincials in Red Deer.
Houben finished fifth in the province in Grade 12 boys javelin and Kornelsen won provincial bronze in Grade 10 girls high jump with a personal best jump of 1.55 metres.
