OLDS — Local resident Ryder Persson has obtained two badminton gold medals in the last couple of weeks.
He won gold during the Zone 4 Alberta Winter Games trials held in Lacombe.
Fellow Olds resident Anastasia Plowman placed fourth in those trials.
Both will now be representing Zone 4 during the Alberta Winter Games that will be held in Grande Prairie Feb. 16-19.
Persson also won a gold medal in boys doubles with partner Lucas Sato of Airdrie during a badminton tournament during the Remembrance Day weekend.
