OLDS — Cathy Spicer of the Olds Golf club and Ken Griffith of the Red Deer Golf & Country Club are the 2021 Olds Golf Club ladies and men’s senior open champions.
The HUB Men’s and Ladies Senior Open tournament was held June 23 at the Olds Golf Club.
Griffith shot a final round of 66, beating Keith Newton by five strokes.
Spicer shot a final round score of 79, just edging out Barb Marsh, who shot a final round total of 81.
Merv Dusyk of the Red Deer Golf and Country Club got a hole-in-one on the 16th hole.
A full field of 124 players entered the tournament.
Last year, the tournament was cancelled, due to COVID-19.
The next Olds Golf Club tournament is the Hildebrand Motors Men’s Open, July 3-4.
The Expedia Cruises Ladies Open will be held July 10.
