The École Olds High School senior high track and field team placed 12th out of 53 3A high schools during the Provincials, held June 7-8 in Calgary.
"All athletes posted personal best times and throws," track coach Wanda Vandervelden wrote in an email to the Albertan.
Haylin Eling placed second in both the shotput and discus.
Abi Irving finished third in the 400 metre (m) race and fifth in the 200 m.
Jesse Maetche came seventh in the javelin.
Jaeden Cameron made the finals in the 200 m.
The 4-by-400 m mixed relay of Teagan Rose, Aaralyn Longmuir, Cody Gelinas and Dylan Ellis placed sixth.
The 4-by-100 m team of Nova Van Soest, Aaralyn Longmuir, Teagan Rose and Abi Irving placed ninth.
David Hoppins missed the final in the hurdles but he was running "in the worst weather of the weekend," Vandervelden wrote.
"The weather on Saturday was so bad yet the athletes were troopers and did their best," she added.
All in all, Vandervelden described this year's track and field season as a great one for the Spartans.
"The senior team won the team award for the Chinook's Edge south meet for the first time that I can recall," she wrote.
"The junior team was a little small this year, but Adam Jorgenson should be commended for his first place finish at Zones in the shotput."
