Heavy snow has fallen across Central Alberta today (April 27) thanks to a spring storm moving across the region. The snow is expected to taper off this afternoon and tonight.

Innisfail and area residents and those across Central Alberta, woke up to a winter scene this morning thanks to a spring storm moving through the area today (April 27).

According to weather alerts on The Weather Network, the storm has brought heavy snow to west-central regions of the province.

Total snowfall accumulations across the region are expected to be in the 10 to 20 cm and are expected taper off this afternoon and tonight.
