Rapids add Lowther from Special Olympics Airdrie

Crossfield's Ian Lowther is the first provincial qualifier for the Olds Rapids Swim Club. The 16-year-old qualified for the Alberta Provincial Championships as a Paralympic swimmer in the 50-metre freestyle.

Crossfield's Ian Lowther is the first provincial qualifier for the Olds Rapids Swim Club.

The 16-year-old qualified for the Alberta Provincial Championships as a Paralympic swimmer in the 50-metre freestyle.

Lowther continues to participate with Special Olympics Airdrie. His next meet with the Rapids will be from Dec. 11 to 13 at the Calgary Cascade Age Group Invitational.
