The annual Rotary fundraising golf tournament at the Olds Golf Club attracted about 20 more golfers than last year, according to Rotary Club of Olds president Peter Premachuk.

About 140 golfers took part, up from about 120 last year, he said. "Great support from the community."

"From all feedback it went really well," Premachuk said. "We were just short of a sellout, which would have been 144."
As of late last week, organizers were still crunching the numbers, so it was uncertain how much money was raised.

"While the total funds raised numbers are still being finalized we are happy with the results, that are up from last year," said Ray Cavin, a member of the club's golf tournament organizing committee.

This year, the club introduced an "all inclusive" pricing format.

Cavin said that seemed to go over well with participants.

He said next year, organizers want to continue working with sponsors to develop course contests and promotions.
