The Olds Grizzlys novice A team won their league championship on March 16 with a 7-6 win in Game 2 of its best-of-three series with the Okotoks Oilers in Okotoks.
The team won Game 1 of the series in Olds one day earlier by a score of 13-4.
Mike Marshall, the novice A team's coach, said the squad had finished the regular season in second place after spending most of the season in the fifth or sixth spot.
The Olds Grizzlys midget A female team won the Rocky Mountain Female Hockey League championship on March 16 in Olds with a 5-1 win over Girls Hockey Calgary.
The same day, the Olds Grizzlys atom Tier 1 club won the atom B provincials tournament with a 6-5 overtime victory over Blackfalds.
The squad had defeated Carstairs in the semifinals earlier in the day by a score of 9-1 and enjoyed a 2-1 record in the tournament's round-robin series.
And the Olds Grizzlys female peewee B team were crowned the Rocky Mountain Female Hockey League champions after they defeated the Cochrane Rockies 10-8 in Olds on March 14 and 8-1 in Cremona on March 15 to win the best-of-three series.
